Jackery vs EcoFlow: Honest Comparison After 6 Months of Testing Both
I owned both a Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro and an EcoFlow Delta 2 for 6 months. Here's the real difference β and which one is right for your situation.
Every "Jackery vs EcoFlow" article online reads like it was written by someone who held both in their hands for 20 minutes at a trade show. I actually bought both and used them for 6 months β for camping, home backup, and a basement shop.
Here's what I found.
TL;DR
Choose Jackery if: You want the most reliable, long-lasting unit with no complex features. Set it up, forget it.
Choose EcoFlow if: You want faster charging, more expandability, smarter software, and you'll use it regularly for home backup.
The Units I Tested
- Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro β 2,160Wh, 2,200W AC output, $1,499 retail
- EcoFlow Delta 2 β 1,024Wh (expandable to 2,048Wh), 1,800W AC, $999 retail
Note: These aren't direct equivalents by capacity or price. I'll also reference the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2,048Wh, $1,499) where relevant.

Real-World Performance
Charging Speed
This is where EcoFlow absolutely dominates. The Delta 2 charges from 0β80% in under an hour via AC. The Jackery 2000 Pro takes closer to 2 hours (still fast, but half the speed).
For camping and home backup where you need to charge quickly before a storm or before leaving? EcoFlow wins decisively.
Battery Life / Cycle Count
This one surprised me. EcoFlow uses LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells with 3,000 cycles to 80% capacity. Jackery uses NMC cells with 1,000 cycles.
In practical terms: if you cycle the battery once a week, Jackery lasts ~19 years, EcoFlow lasts ~57 years. Both outlast their useful life β but EcoFlow's chemistry is inherently more stable and safer (lower thermal runaway risk).
App & Connectivity
EcoFlow's app is genuinely excellent β real-time watt tracking, scheduling, remote control. Jackery's app feels like an afterthought. If you're using this for home integration, EcoFlow is clearly better.
Solar Charging
I tested both with a 200W Jackery panel and a Bluetti SP200.
- Jackery 2000 Pro: Handled 800W solar cleanly with two MPPT inputs
- EcoFlow Delta 2: Capped at 500W input; I had to wait for the Delta 2 Max for comparable solar
For serious solar charging, the EcoFlow Delta 2 (base model) is limited. The Max resolves this.
Portability
Delta 2 at 27 lbs is noticeably lighter. I could carry it in one hand. Jackery at 43 lbs needs two hands or the included cart.
What I Actually Used Each For
Jackery 2000 Pro:
- 4-day camping trip (ran a fan, phone charging, small cooler)
- Hurricane backup for fridge + lights (held up well over 12 hours)
EcoFlow Delta 2:
- Daily desk setup (computer, monitors, lamps) β tracked exact wattage via app
- Power outage backup in basement workshop
- Charged from solar panels on sunny days
Which Should You Buy?
Buy the Jackery 2000 Pro if:
- You want simplicity and reliability above all
- You primarily use it for camping
- You don't need expandability
- You want the largest single-unit capacity at this price point
Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro Portable Power Station
2,160Wh capacity, 2,200W AC output, dual charging in 2 hours. Reliable workhorse for camping and home backup.
Buy the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max if:
- Home backup is your primary use
- You want LFP battery chemistry (longer lifespan)
- You want fast charging (under 65 minutes)
- You might add a battery expansion later
EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max Portable Power Station
2,048Wh LFP battery, 2,400W AC, charges to 80% in 65 minutes. Expandable to 6kWh with extra battery.
The Verdict
If I could only keep one: EcoFlow Delta 2 Max.
The LFP battery, faster charging, expandability, and app quality give it more utility for my use case (home backup + solar charging). The Jackery is a great unit β but EcoFlow has leapfrogged it in almost every technical spec.
That said, Jackery has been in this market longer, has a massive user community, and the Explorer 2000 Pro is rock solid. If you want the Chevy truck of portable power β reliable, simple, proven β Jackery is your brand.
